Club Accreditation
Clubmark is the Sport England cross sport quality accreditation for clubs with junior sections.
Over the past year Northumberland Sport has been working with the three other County Sports Partnerships (CSP's) in the North East (Tyne & Wear Sport, County Durham Sport and Tees Valley Sport) to work towards gaining the ClubMark Licenses. The license means that Northumberland Sport can work with clubs to achieve their accreditations for ClubMark, the support available is through our Club and Coach Development Officer.
National Governing Bodies of Sport (NGB's) accredit clubs that comply with minimum operating standards in four areas:
- The playing or participation programme
- Duty of care and child protection
- Knowing your club and it's community
- Club management
Clubmark demonstrates to partners, parents and young people that Clubmark accredited clubs are:
- Active - getting the best out of young people
- Accessible - Giving everyone a sporting chance
- Accredited - the Sport England mark of high quality
