You do not need to be good player to be a good coach but you do need to be enthusiastic and want to help young people to achieve their potential. Benefits of becoming a coach include;

Codes of Conduct
It is important that all coaches adopt a code of conduct which ensures they work to consistent high standards of ethical practice which focus on the people they coach.
Advice about codes of conduct should be available from the relevant National Governing Bodies for sport
Additionally Northumberland Sport advocate the following Codes of Behaviour and Guidance for coaches; parent; spectator and participants in order to try and ensure sport provides only positive and enhancing experiences for all.
