Criteria for Northumberland
In Northumberland, the programme is aimed at increasing the number of coaches in the Wansbeck area and contributing to the development of the workforce within Northumberland.
The Blyth Valley Arts and Leisure (BVAL) team will be managing the programme at the local level, through their officers Lee Paris and Sarah Haigh who were part of the Wansbeck Sports Development team.
To aid identification of potential recruits for the programme Northumberland Sport and BVAL are working with a wide range of partners on the programme including, Jobcentre plus, Wansbeck’s Connexions and Northumberland Employability Works Services.
Northumberland Sport will be working with local National Governing Bodies to provide the required training courses. The trainee coaches will also have access to the generic training courses provided through Northumberland Sports Workshop programme.
More information on the programme is available from Stephen Parsons.
