Aquatic Academies
North Northumberland Swimming Forum have organised an intensive four day academy for all ages, in lifesaving activities and on the final day water polo.
The academy will take place Monday 18th to Thursday 21st February 2008 at Willowburn Sports and Leisure Centre 9-10am. The academy will cost £4 which is to be paid on poolside on arrival on the first day.
For the first three days, swimmers will gain experience in safety around water, self survival and rescues in a fun environment from experienced coaches from Alnwick Swimming Club. Exit routes to clubs will be identified and opportunities to continue participating in swimming will be made available. On the fourth day swimmers will participate in swimming and ball skills and finish with a competitive game of water polo, putting everything learnt throughout the session together and working within the friendship groups formed during the week.
