Active Berwick Awards Night

Active Berwick will be hosting their 2nd Annual Awards Night on the 22nd of January 2010 at Berwick Rugby Football Club. The whole evening is being sponsored by Berwick Work Space.

It has been an extremely exciting year for sport and physical activity in the Berwick area. Active Berwick continue to deliver some cracking developments in the area such as;

122 new coaches
4 brand new accredited walking groups
developing events invluding Triathlon, Curfew Run, Walking Festivals
more club marked clubs
formation of the Active Berwick Club Forum

The Active Berwick Awards recognise contributions across all elements of sport, from coaches to volunteers to elite performers and teams. Active Berwick never cease to be amazed by the wealth of talent in the Berwick area and the unbounded passion for sport and physical activity.

Sports Personality of the Year
Guy Learmonth (Athletics), Liam Holburn (MMA) and Alison Inglis (Rowing)

Performance of the Year
Guy Learmonth (Athletics), Liam Holborn (MMA) and Ballet Bewegung (Ballet)

Team of the Year
Goswick Golf Club A Team (Golf), Tillside Cricket Club U13 (Cricket) and Berwick Rangers U11 (Football)

Junior Sports Achievement (Under 16)
Corey Graham (Football), Robyn Pick (Football/Hockey) and Law Atkinson (Cricket)

Coach of the Year
Allan Rodger (Golf), Caroline Strangways (Archery) and Henry Grey (Athletics)

Volunteer of the Year
Amanda Hindmarsh (Cricket), John Gill (Archery) and Debra Jerdan (Football)

Disabled Athlete of the Year
Harry Thompson, Suzanne Dalrymple and Laura Patterson
