Northumberland U19 Badminton Championships
Northumberland County Badminton Association are pleased to announce that this year they have had the largest entry ever for the Northumberland Under 19 International Junior Badminton Tournament.
This coming weekend sees top junior badminton players from England, Scotland, Northern Ireland, Wales, Sweden, Bulgaria and Israel competing at the Parks Leisure Centre in North Shields.
On Friday 23rd November 2007 teams from the 4 Home Countries plaus Sweden will paly against each other in the International Team Event.
On Saturday 24th November and Sunday 25th November 3007 109 players will take part in the Northumberland Under 19 Junior Tournament. Past winners of the prestigious event include all of the current leading England Senior International players, the best known of whom are the former World Mixed Doubles Champions Gail Emms and Nathan Robertson.
Even if you aren't taking part, spectators are more than welcome!
