Sign Up Now for Tynedale Volleyball Festival!
On Saturday February 16 2008, Hastwhistle Swimming & Leisure Centre will be hosting a Volleyball Festival for people of all ages and abilities.
This event will form part of the Tynedale Volleyball Partnership scheme, which provides opportunities to local communities in Tynedale to play Volleyball. The Partnership will continue to work with adults and young people by delivering more sessions in the village settings across the district in Northumberland.
Community Volleyball Coach, Steve Betts, whose post is currently funded through the Northumberland Sport partnership and include additional support from the local School Sport Partnership and Leisure Tynedale, has seen the interest in Volleyball escalate dramatically during the past few years. The Tynedale Volleyball Partnership has also recently secured an ‘Awards for All’ grant to further develop the ‘Village Volleyball’ scheme, which emphasises the success of the scheme to date.
