Tommy's Splashathon

Youngster swimming with armbands on

Tommy's, the baby charity, is calling for little splashers across the UK to sign up for the most exciting water event of the year - the 2007 Splashathon, sponsored by Huggies, Little Swimmers and supported by Vertbaudet.

The event takes place at Concordia's pool on Thursday 21st June 2007 at 11:00am.

Tommy's Splashathon encourages babies, toddlers and young children to have fun and at the same time raise money by simply splashing a width or a length of the pool.  The charity is hoping that the 2007 Slashathon event will be the most successful ever, beating last year's magnificent £175,000 for the charity, which funds research into the causes of miscarriage, premature birth and stillbirth.

If you and your little one would like to take part in this year's Splashathon, please call in to reception at Conordia Leisure Centre, Cramlington and pick up your sponsor form or contact Val Hopper at Blyth Valley Arts and Leisure vhopper@blythvalley.gov.uk or (01670) 542561.
