Alnwick Sports Council

Alnwick Sports Council fully supports Active Alnwick.

The Sports Council was set up over 20 years ago by Alnwick District Council to provide a link between the District Council and local sporting clubs and to promote sport at all levels in the district. To help achieve this, a small grant is provided each year by the council that can be distributed to help the development of clubs and coaching. In 2006-7 this amounted to £4000.

The sports council are keen to help develop sport in the district for all ages and abilities, no matter whether it is competitive or non-competitive nature and to enable the voice of sport to be heard within Alnwick District.
