All fenced out
Olympic Gymnast Craig Heap visits one of the fencing sessions at Longhoughton
The Sport Unlimited Fencing sessions which were ran at Westfield Park, Longhoughton have now come to an end. The sessions have been a huge hit and have attracted children from all over the Alnwick District to take part in this new activity.
"It is great to see a new activity in the area and one that is so different. My child is thoroughly enjoying the Fencing sessions and hopes to continue once this programme has finished" Parent of one of the young Fencers.
"I'm so pleased that these sessions have attracted so many young people, and more importantly young people who are not always physically active outside of school. We are working hard with the coach to provide future Fencing opportunities to all the participants and to other people who may wish to try fencing" Leah Flynn, Community Sports Officer.
If you are interested in trying fencing, please contact either Leah Flynn from Alnwick Sports Development or Iain Aberdeen from Let's Fence.
