FREE workshops for volunteers

Volunteers' Week is celebrating its 25th anniversary in 2009. This annual awareness week celebrates volunteers and volunteering and takes place from 1 – 7 June of each year. It plays a huge part in raising the profile of England’s 22 million volunteers while encouraging others to get involved.

Northumberland Sport is committed to developing and increasing the number of trained and qualified people involved in the delivery of sport within Northumberland. We would like to build on the success of last years coach education programme by implementing a series of workshops designed to promote good practice during coaching sessions across the whole of Northumberland for coaches and volunteers.

Coaches and volunteers who actively coach in Northumberland will be able to access these courses free of charge. However, anyone outside of the county will be required to pay a £10 contribution to cover costs for resources (This cost will rise to £19.00 for Emergency First Aid).
