Indoor Athletics a Huge Success
More than 200 year six boys and girls from schools across the county, represented their areas in the Northumberland Sports Hall Athletics County Final at Alnwick’s Willowburn Sports and Leisure Centre.
The events throughout the day included two hours of track and field events.
The track events included obstacle relay, hurdles relays, four-by-one lap relay and the six-lap paarlauf. The field events included the standing long jump, the standing triple jump, vertical jump, javelin, chest push, the speed bounce and the balance beam.
The event was rounded off by the Grand Prix Relay for four team members around a circuit set up in the sports hall.
