Active Tynedale are happy to promote Tynedale SSP and students who took part in the 2008 ‘Aquathon’.

April also saw the second Tynedale Schools Aquathlon held at Haltwhistle Swimming and Leisure Centre. The competition was open to Yr 5,6,7 and 8 pupils in all the Tynedale Middle Schools. Thirty- nine pupils took part and they were offered the chance to take part in another event also organised by the One Life Club in June 2008.

After a swim of 100m the yr 5and 6 pupils had to run 1500m. The year 7 and 8 pupils had to swim 200m and run 2000m. The final winners were as follows:-

Boys

Girls

After the results were collected in, six pupils who are not part of the One-Life Triathlon Club were invited to attend the North-East Academy where they will receive coaching from the top coaches in the area. These pupils are;
