Walk to Wellbeing 2010

NNP

Get out and get healthy in Northumberland National Park, A partnership project...

Northumberland National Park's Sustainable Develop Fund, North Country Leisure Healthy Life Team and Natural England's Walking for Health Initiative have worked together to create a programme of 16 short walks.

The walks are designed and led by trained, experienced health walk leaders, and are particularly suited to regular Health Walk participants who are keen to improve their health and wellbeing through walking.

Northumberland National Park is 400 square miles of high quality, inspiring landscape, containing important habitats for flora and fauna and many reminders of Northumberland's history.

Join us to discover more, enjoy good company and visit a local tearoom - all whilst improving your health.

Note from our partner; Northumberland National Park

Sustainable development in and around Northumberland National Park is about promoting ways of living and working that allows people to enjoy life, businesses to prosper and communities to thrive. At the same time, it is about enhancing the natural beauty, wildlife and cultural heritage of the National Park and affording opportunities for understanding and enjoyment of its special qualities by the public. The Walk to Wellbeing initiative took place thanks to a grant from the Sustainable Development Fund.  If you would like to know more about Northumberland National Park, please visit the Northumberland National Park website.
