Haltwhistle’s 14th Walking Festival 9th - 18th October 2009
Come and enjoy walking in the beautiful, rugged and outstanding countryside around Haltwhistle. This is our 14th festival and, as always, we are offering walks to suit all ages and abilities. Some walks are based on favourite routes; others are completely new. The 3 day walk from Hermitage Castle in Scotland to Haltwhistle through Reivers' country will prove popular, as will special interest walks (fungi, family geocaching, night navigation, river management, weaving, etc.). Most walks are led by local volunteers who walk the area weekly.
