Walk for Life at Kielder Water & Forest Park
Northumbrian WaterAid’s ‘Walk for life’, supported by /ITV Tyne Tees, takes place on Sunday 12 October 2008 at Kielder Water & Forest Park in Northumberland.
The sponsored walk will take you 7.6 miles along the new Lakeside Way, providing you with stunning unspoilt views of Kielder Water and the surrounding countryside, along with opportunities for viewing some of the abundant wildlife.
The walk will start at the KielderDam, following the shoreline of Kielder Water to the finishing line at LeaplishWatersidePark.
‘Walk for life’ is suitable for all ages and great for walking in a group or with family and friends to raise money for WaterAid, or your chosen charity. The Lakeside Way is a multi-user trail and is suitable for people who wish to take part in the event with pushchairs and wheelchairs.
To Participate
To take part in ‘Walk for life’, the entry fee for adults is ?15.00 and ?7.50 for children under the age of 16, who must be accompanied by an adult over the age of 18. Children under 2 years of age can take part free of charge but will not receive a t-shirt or goodie-bag.
?10 from every adult entry fee and ?2.50 from every child entry fee will go directly to WaterAid. The remainder will cover the running of the event.
Participants have a legal responsibility to ensure all charity sponsorship money/donations received are paid to WaterAid or to their chosen charity.
