Northumberland NQTs` Complete their Modular PE CPD course - Despite the Weather !
Andy Brown with NQTs on the day
On Thursday 25th November 2010 a hardy and determined cohort of newly Qualified Teachers (NQTs) managed to get to Blyth Leisure Centre to complete the third and final module in the NQT 2010 -11 Physical Education Professional Programme. This final module focused on assisting NQT`s in improving planning, teaching and learning in High Quality Gymnastic Activities.
The modules have been coordinated and delivered by Northumberland LA PE Consultant and Lead Trainer Andy Brown, with valued support from local tutors Franki Clark (Assistant PDM North Northumberland SSP & CPD tutor) and Helen Robson (Assistant PDM Blyth Bedlington SSP & CPD tutor) .Andy states that "all of our Sports Partnership Managers have fully supported this key element of the Northumberland PE CPD programme - providing time, financial and organisational support throughout. Without their support the programme would have been considerably reduced. The modules have been invaluable to these NQTs, many of whom have had very limited CPD, guidance and advice relating to PE within their initial teacher training courses."
