Physical Education CPD Opportunity - Not to be Missed!
We are pleased and delighted that staff at Ashington Sports College have agreed to coordinate and deliver a fantastic Physical Education CPD opportunity once again on Friday 5th November 2010.
Aims of the day
Led by the Director of Sport and Head of PE, the day aims to explore:
- The inspection process, what does the new Ofsted framework look like in practice
- Organising a PE curriculum that meets and challenges learner needs
- Leading change, creating a culture of excellence
- Monitoring, tracking and evaluation, using data to inform improvement
- Using lesson observations to drive up standards
- Supporting staff development, meeting CPD needs from NQT to SLT
Delegates will also have opportunities to:
- Look at PE in practice and put discussion into context
- Meet and talk with small groups of students
- Engage in table top discussions during a working buffet style lunch with a range of members of the PE Dept including SLT, Head of and Second in Dept, Heads of Year who teach in PE, NQTs in PE, and support staff within PE
