YoUR Leaders Pilot Success in Northumberland
Many thanks once again to everyone who participated in trialling / piloting YoUR leaders as part of KS3 Curriculum innovation over the last year in Northumberland and for your subsequent efforts and energy provided.
We hope that those of you who really "went for it" gained from the experience and that it has (as those of you who submitted success stories said) had a significant impact on your students. The Proof of the pudding is whether both you and your pupils have rated it - as having an impact and if you have now embedded it within your long term curriculum plan / map as a unit OR units of work at KS3.
Case Study & Valuable Feedback
Following some recent school visits & conversations with some schools who actually submitted a success story, we:
- have used the YoUR Leaders pilot and information from success stories submitted, school visits and conversations with students ,teachers/SSCOs to help compile our "Northumberland Impact on students as learners - Case study" for this year (last year we used the HLTA / TA PE CPD modules - to demonstrate impact of CPD on Adult Learners). This will now be sent to YST CPD unit to share nationally (already done regionally).
The best bits of the report (in terms of student feedback and staff comments) are in the appendices contained in the attached case study- so scroll through to them to find out more!
Further Feedback Welcomed
If you have a burning request for us to add something to the case study, please contact Andy Brown. Unfortunately - we are limited in the number of pages we can submit so we apologise in advance if some schools comments from their success stories have not made the final report.
