School Sports Association
Northumberland Schools' Sports Association was set up in 1991 and one of the main functions of the Association is to distribute sports grant aid on behalf of Northumberland County Council to individual students, schools and County Associations.
The following documents provide further detail on how this sports grant aid is distributed.
If you have any queries, please contact Alan Wallis, the Secretary of the Schools Sports Association.
1. Annual grant aid is given to County Schools' organisations in football, cricket, golf, hockey, karting, netball and athletics to help run their activities.
2. Individual students can apply for grant aid to assist them in their pursuit of sporting excellence, providing that their application is supported by the student's headteacher.
3. Schools can claim grant aid to assist with travelling expenses for their sports teams that reach the final stages of national competitions.
