Calling All Female Football Clubs!
Is your team up for a challenge?
On the 11th September 2007 England's Women kick off their quest for World Cup glory against Japan. To celebrate this and to support the girls in the North East's County Football Associations have teamed up to launch a competition to find the region's best supporting girl's club.
The challenge is for every girl's team in the North East to do something to show their support to England's Women in the World Cup at their league game on the 8th/9th September 2007. An example of this could be to get all your players to paint the St Georges cross on their face or cheek for the game over the particular weekend.
We would like each club involved to take a photo and email it to lrobinson@durhamcity.gov.uk. The best photos will win exclusive prizes from Northumberland Football Association such as a bag of balls, bibs, cones, posters and other world cup goodies.
