Cricket Festival Provides Further Opporunities

On Monday 10^th December, Leisure Alnwick will be hosting a disability cricket festival at Willowburn Leisure Centre. Children from both ‘The Grove’ school, Berwick and ‘Barndale’ School, Alnwick will be provided with fantastic opportunities to take part in a variety of cricket activities.

This event comes after several weeks of coaching in schools from Leisure Alnwick’s Community Cricket Coach, StephenBoyd.

Stephen said "this is a wonderful opportunity for the children to get involved in Cricket. They have shown fantastic levels of enthusiasm and are really looking forward to the festival’. They have demonstrated many of the technical skills involved in cricket and I was really impressed with their willingness to learn, participate and improve’.
