Following on from the success of the Northumberland Triathlon Festival in 2007, which was the main event of the 2007 Get Active Northumberland campaign, Northumberland Sport are pleased to announce details for our 2008 event.

Working in Partnership with Culture¹⁰, Castle Morpeth Borough Council and One Life triathlon club, this year's festival will commence at 12.00pm on Saturday 13 September 2008 at Druridge Bay Country Park, Northumberland and will host a number of exciting FREE activities that all visitors are welcome to participate in including;

A Triathlon Challenge
Kite Flying
Skateboarding
Frisbee
Sailing
Canoeing
Cycling
Climbing
and Dance

Visitors will also be able to watch healthy cookery demonstrations and taste the results, using a variety of Northumberland's finest own produce!

Running alongside these fantastic outdoor activities, spectators will also have the oppotunity to view the Children's Duathlon taking place on Saturday afternoon and the Olympic Standard Distance event taking place on Sunday 14th September.
