Curfew Run a Big Success

Wednesday 16th July 2008 saw the traditional running of the Berwick Curfew Run. The fun run around the Elizabethan Walls saw 138 competitors of all ages take part.

Massive thanks to the support of Berwick Harriers who supplied the marshals, Northumbrian Water who supplied the water and Northumberland Sport who helped with the publicity of the event.
Northumberland Sport is supporting this event through its Get Active Northumberland campaign which is aimed at encouraging people across the county to get active and stay active and to highlight the amazing sporting opportunities the region has to offer.
Doug Lowery, Executive Director of Northumberland Sport said: “The Curfew Run is a great opportunity to take part in one of the town’s sporting traditions. It’s open to everyone and promises to be a fun event which will get people exercising in the great outdoors while highlighting the special history of the area."
