Former Olympic Gymnast "Gets Set" for Schools Visit

Former Olympic gymnast and Commonwealth Games gold medal holder, Craig Heap will be in Northumberland on Monday 5 December to promote the London 2012 Olympic 'Get Set' scheme and network for schools.
Craig, who now lives in the North East, has represented England over 100 times in various international gymnastic competitions. He will be visiting Hirst Middle School in Ashington which has signed up to the Get Set programme to talk to teachers and young children about sport.
'Get Set' is the official London 2012 education programme for schools and colleges across the UK. It is drivenby an interactive website which features a whole host of free resources including films, activity and fact sheets for 3-19 year olds giving young people across the UK the chance to learn about Olympic and Paralympic values and play their part in the 2012 Games.
Schools must sign up by the 16th December in order to be entered into a draw for a share of Olympic Tickets
