LACYP - Free Sports Fair

The Sporting Club at Cramlington played host to a free Sports Fair on 30th October 2008, the first major event held as part of a new project focused on working with Looked After Children & Young People (LACYP) & their carers.

The looked after children & young people & their friends attending the fair were invited to participate in activities such as football, tag rugby, basketball, badminton & trampolining.

Around 50 young people took part & enjoyed the opportunity to access the different activities on offer, aswell as meeting local coaches & some of the regions Sporting Champions;

Tamara Taylor - Rugby World Cup Runner-Up & Six Nations Champion
Ross Murray - GB Middle Distance Runner
Nick Gillingham MBE - Olympic Silver/Bronze Medal Winning Swimmer
