Sport Makers, a new national Sport England volunteering initiative aims to inspire people to make sport happen at the local level, embedding the Olympic and Paralympic values in grassroots sportby recruiting, training and deploying 40,000 Sport Makers as the next generation of sports volunteers to organise and lead grassroots sporting activities.

Northumberland Sport are currently looking to recruit and train Sport Makers locally, which can be used to meet the needs of your club by helping out in a number of roles including;
- Coaching assistants
- Managing or helping to support new teams
- Helping to organise an Olympic taster day as part of a club open day aimed at attracting new members
- Using your club as a venue to provide leisurely activity to friends/colleagues
