More Success for our local Badminton Star!

Northumberland Sport would once again like to pass on our congratulations to badminton player Will Smith from Prudhoe, who recently competed in the Welsh leg of the Four Nations Tournaments and excelled, winning a Gold Medal in the Men's Singles and Silver in the Men's Doubles.

These are fantastic achievements, as Will is only 19 and is competing against older and more experienced players. He is now ranked 11th internationally for Singles and 23rd for Doubles!!

Regular visitors to our website, may recall that Will, who is currently a second year student at Newcastle University, also did extremely well in last year’s European Disabled Championships in Dortmund.

Will is off to Ireland in November for another Four Nations tournament and hopefully more medals.
