North East Disability Sports Awards

The English Federation of Disability Sport North East region has again secured sponsorship from npower to run a programme of disability sports events throughout the region. In addition to this the fifth North East Disability Sports Achievement Awards sponsored by npower will take place on 25 June 2007 and we are now seeking nominations.

The Awards will celebrate sporting achievement and acknowledge the work of so many people who help to bring sporting opportunities to people of all abilities throughout our region. We have six different awards categories which will enable us to recognise the achievement of junior and senior disabled sports people, sporting clubs and individuals who have shown service to sport during 2006.

The nomination categories are:

Young Male Achiever

Young Female Achiever

Club of the Year

Male Personality

Female Personality

Service to Sport

The Awards will be presented on the afternoon of Monday 25th June at the Riverside Suite, Durham County Cricket Club, Riverside, Chester le Street, and will again be hosted by IanPayne from ITV Tyne Tees
