Northumberland College Students take the Opportunity to become a Sporting Hero

Sport Makers enjoying the hands on workshop

Students from Northumberland College became the first people to be inspired by the national 'Sport Makers' volunteering programme in Northumberland.

11 students from the travel and tourism programme attended the workshop which gave them the tools to help others get involved in more sport and physical activity.

For this group of young people their minds are fully focussed on the Sport Relief Mile events taking place on March 25th 2012, where they will carry a variety of volunteering roles.
