Northumberland Sport Club & Coach Development Officer Vacancy
An opportunity has arisen for a motivated and enthusiastic individual to help shape our services and support to local sports clubs, coaches and volunteers.
The post is offered on a full time temporary basis to March 09, Scale 5 (£18,907 - £20,736). Areas of work will include:
- Assessing options for Northumberland Sport becoming a licensed body for club accreditation schemes
- Provision of advice and support to assist clubs working towards accreditation
- Identification and support for specific workforce needs including training and development of coaches and volunteers
- Brokering access to funding and facilitating quality links within the local community including schools.
Requirements for this post include:
- A good knowledge and experience of working with volunteers and voluntary clubs ideally in a sports setting
- To be familiar with design and provision of customer focused services
- Excellent communication and administrative ability
- Ability to assess and synthesize large amounts of information into concise and focused assessments and recommendations aimed at establishing innovative and excellent customer services.
