Northumberland Winners at npower North East Disability Awards

Northumberland Sport would like to congratulate all the award winners at this year's npower North East Disability Awards held on Wednesday 29 April 2009 at Durham County Cricket Club.

Winners included Northumberland's very own William Smith from Prudhoe, who won the award for Young Male Achiever and Stephen Miller from Cramlington, who won the award for Best Male Personality.

Northumberland's Badminton Development Officer Norma Waterfield, who nominated Will Smith for the award, commented "Will thoroughly deserves to have received the award.  I have seen him develop and improve considerably over the last few years, with great support from his family.  I hope Will is destined for further success, he certainly has a huge amount of talent."
