Rockets Aim for Change

Change for Life

Cramlington Rockets have announced they have joined forces with Change4Life.  Ever since Cramlington Rockets was formed in 2009 the club have always preached eating right and staying healthy but have never had the tools to take any major action, now by teaming up with Change4Life the club can take their message to a whole new level.

Plans have been immediately but in place to encourage the players, parents and supporters to eat well, move more and live longer. The U16s during the off season will attend kitchen sessions and will learn how and what to cook, the U14s will have regular speakers regarding nutrition and healthy lifestyles, the U12s & 10s will have fun interactive sessions were they learn about the good and bad foods and drink. All activities will be open to anyone associated with the club (family, supporters etc).

Gateshead Thunder Community Rugby Coach Steven Beaty had this to say "It's great when proactive clubs like Cramlington Rockets join forces with such a good cause. Playing Rugby League will certainly get you fitter, faster and stronger but it's extremely important that we all eat properly and get the right amount of sleep".

If you would like to help the Rockets in their mission please contact Steven Beaty on 07772290520
