Rugby League Rockets SNOW the way forward

Snow good

North East Rugby League Club Cramlington Rockets has been showing off their community spirit by clearing the paths and driveways of snow for the people of Cramlington, where 20 volunteers made up of players, parents and coaches put on the Rockets jersey and took to the streets!

On a bitter cold Saturday morning the Rockets presence was kindly met by the locals as people showed their gratitude by offering tea, coffee and biscuits to the hard working volunteers.

The Rockets were offering this service completely free of charge in an attempt to help raise awareness of Rugby League within in the local area.

One passerby said "It's fantastic to see all the kids helping out. The streets have become really dangerous especially for old people but this will help them a great deal."

Cramlington Rockets Chairman Steve Beaty said, "I am really pleased with how many people have turned up to help out the club today. Cramlington Rockets are very determined to create strong links within the community and I hope today has gone a long way towards achieving that."
