Volunteers Needed
This is your opportunity to volunteer at a sports event in the heart of Newcastle City Centre. Hosted at Northumbria University's brand new "Sport Central" the Great Britain Basketball Team face Macedonia on 8th August 2010.
You will be involved in pre-event training, set up, stewarding, liaising with the teams and general event organisation on the day.
This is a fantastic opportunity to volunteer at a high level sports event and be one of the first to see the all new state of the art £30 million University facility.
We want to encourage 16 - 25 year olds to 'get involved' but this opportunity is also open to anyone of any age who has a keen interest in sport.
You will be required to attend a training session during early August and then will be required for the full day and evening of the 8th August.
We want friendly, approachable volunteers who have good communication skills and work well in teams.
