Summer 2010 iPod Shuffle winner with Dave Pick, North Northumberland School Spors Partnership
Young sport participants from across Northumberland recently won prize draws for taking part in Northumberland Sport's 'Sport Unlimited' programme over the summer term. The lucky recipients each received an iPod Touch or 'Sports Goody Bag' with an iPod shuffle for taking part in either 100% or 60% of their chosen activities.

The prize winners had the following to say on receipt of their prizes;
Micheal Rutherford, aged 12 from Cramlington, took advantage of the golf sessions delivered at Arcot Hall, Cramlington said this was very "Entertaining, better than school work and a great coach".
Shaun Atkinson, aged 13 from Haltwhistle, took to the waters during organised canoe sessions at Hexham said it was "Lots of fun, help from coaches was great, opens up more opportunities with different types of disciplines, family opportunities are great as well".
Ross took part in organised Fencing sessions at Willowburn Leisure Centre, Alnwick and said it was "Really good, coach was good and a great chance to experience and learn a new sport".
Sophie Ferries, aged 13, from Prudhoe, really enjoyed the tennis sessions delivered at Prudhoe Community High School by saying it was "Good fun, good coaches and I got better, I would love to do more".
Sam Scott, aged 14 from Cramlington, took part in organised Badminton sessions at Concorrdia Leisure Centre, said it was "really good fun playing with friends, after school, free and a variety of opportunities with different people. Really helpful coaches and helped to improve game and has made a difference, my dad has even got involved now"
Neville Duncan, lead officer for the Sport Unlimited programme in Northumberland said;
"As you can see from the comments above, the Sport Unlimited programme has continued to provide an array of exciting activity programmes across Northumberland which have been well received by the young people involved. Having personally handed the prizes to each of the winners above, I'm delighted to say that many of them are continuing to participate in their chosen activities."
